James V. 'Jimmy Jazz' Perrotta

James V. ‘Jimmy Jazz’ Perrotta, 76, of Dushane Street, died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 23, 1935 in New Castle, a son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (DiTommaso) Perrotta. He was married to the late Patty (Burnside) Perrotta who died in 1979. Mr. Perrotta was a member of St. Vitus Church and the Duca Degli Abruzzi Club. He was a die hard New Castle football and basketball fan and an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. He enjoyed gardening and music and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sisters, Nancie DeRosa of New Castle, and Mary Chill and her husband Joseph of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph 'Duke', Steven ‘Sonny’, and Benjamin ‘Benny’ Perrotta, and two sisters, Annie Russo and Antoinette Edwards.


Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Blessing services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.
