Mary C. Biedka, 90, formerly of Paul Street, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle. She was born November 8, 1921 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Louis and Clara (King) Pagley. She was married to the late Max A. Biedka who died January 8, 2004. Mrs. Biedka was a member of the St. Vitus
Church and worked in the shipping department of the Johnson Bronze for over 10 years. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking and spending time with her granddaughter.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen A. Koszela of Slippery Rock, two brothers, Joseph and Louis Pagley of New Castle, one sister, Joan Quinn of New Castle, one granddaughter, Melissa Bloom and one great grandson, Austin Bloom.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Didiano, and Elizabeth Todd.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Bill Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
