Mary A. Dimuccio

Mary A. DiMuccio, 87, of Ridgewood Court, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. She was born September 13, 1925 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Antonia (DeMasi) Carkitto. She was married to the late Albert D. DiMuccio who died February 6, 1994. Mrs. DiMuccio was an operator for Bell Telephone and the catalog clerk at Sears for over 25 years. She enjoyed her family and cooking, card clubs and playing cards, gardening, and loved social events and family reunions and weddings.

She is survived by four children, John R. DiMuccio and his wife Donna of Youngstown, OH, Rosemarie Flamino and her husband Arthur of New Castle, Joseph C. DiMuccio of New Castle, and Albert J. DiMuccio of New Castle, two brothers, Louis Carkitto of New Castle, and Valentino ‘Vundy’ Carkitto of New Castle, three sisters, Stella Richards of New Castle, Yolanda DiRaimo of Erie, and Joann Candiello and her husband Joseph of Cranberry Twp., six grandchildren, Lisa Jarrett, Artie Flamino, Nicole Welsh, Jennifer Babusci, Joseph DiMuccio and Natalie DiMuccio, and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2 PM to 6 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
