Robert H. Rodgers, Jr., 68, of Katherine Street, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home in New Castle. He was born January 4, 1944 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania a son of the late Robert and Ursula (King) Rodgers. He was married to the late Shirley Ann (Felton) Rodgers who died November 29, 2012. Mr. Rodgers was an owner/operator long haul truck driver retiring after over 20 years. He loved his job and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by one step-son, Rev. Thomas W. Schwartz and his wife Kim of Roanoke Rapids, NC, one step-daughter, Mary 'Becky' Schwartz Richard of New Castle, two brothers, Leroy E. Rodgers of New Castle, and Gary Rodgers of Spring, TX, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
