Nettie Fabian Marcella

Nettie Fabian Marcella, 91, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Ryan Avenue, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born March 2, 1921 in Chewton, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Francis and Gionina (DiRubio) Fabian. She was married to the late Paul Marcella who died December 27, 1995. Mrs. Marcella was owner and operator of Chevy-Ho Bar in California for 25 years. He also worked as a waitress at Hi Spot Lounge in New Castle. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of others and her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, John A. Martin and his wife Geraldine and Joseph A. Martin, Jr., and his wife Susan all of New Castle, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Charles Maietta, and two sisters Flora Schnitzki and Felicia Scala.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Joseph Church officiated. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
