Victoria Manolis, 89, of Sumner Avenue, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born January 3, 1923 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Cosmos) Logothetis. She was married to the late Nick J. Manolis who died in 1977. Mrs. Manolis was manager of a restaurant in Wheeling, WV for many years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Philoptihos Club. Mrs. Manolis loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki L. Cubellis and her husband Victor of New Castle, one sister, Gloria Paiano of New Castle, two grandchildren, Victor Nicholas Cubellis and his wife Alison, and Stephanie Jo Cubellis, two great grandchildren, Dominic and Kaley Cubellis, and a niece Christine Paiano and a niece and nephews in South Bend, IN.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Pete Logothetis, and three sisters, Sophia Logothetis, Julia Andrews, and Angie Arvis.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Father Frank Tomarakos of St. George Greek Orthodox Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
