James B. Mcadams

James B. McAdams, 62, of W. Winter Avenue, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born July 26, 1950 in Parkersburg, West Virginia a son of the late James and Dorothy (Sturdivant) McAdams. He was married to Carmella M. (Rozzi) McAdams on September 18, 1971, she survives in New Castle. Mr. McAdams retired from the Lawrence County PARC after 16 years as a resident aide. He was working for Compassionate Care currently. He was an avid New Castle Basketball fan and a Steelers fan. He enjoyed fishing and playing poker and loved his grandkids and spending time with them.

He is survived by two children, Chris J. McAdams and his wife Carrie of Erie, PA, and Lindsay M. Brigham and Adam of New Castle, one sister, Nina McAdams of New Castle, and five grandchildren, Macey, Ally and Jace McAdams and A.J. and Ryan Brigham.

He was preceded in death by his brother George McAdams.



Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
