Roberta A. Coates, 68, of Churchhill Road, Hillsville, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born January 24, 1944 in New Castle, a daughter of the late David and Eileen (Weicker) Evans. Mrs. Coates was a secretary for Rockwell International for over 20 years and a waitress at King's Restaurant for 10 years. She enjoyed horses, crafts and collecting and making dolls and doll houses.
She is survived by one son, David E. Coates of Hillsville, two sisters, Jackie Smith of Arizona and Eileen Evans of New Castle, three grandchildren, Kylie Godfrey and husband Jason, David Coates and Deidra Coates, and five great grandchildren, Taylor and Leigha Godfrey, Carter and Rayleigh Watterson, and Brooklyn Coates.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel.
