Nancy Giannone

Nancy Giannone, 85, of Drespling Lane, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home in New Castle. She was born February 9, 1927 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette (Cenzoria) Aluisia. She was married to the late Frank Giannone who died October 6, 1996. Mrs. Giannone was head cashier at Kroger's Supermarket retiring after 27 years. She was a member of Kroger retirees, the Sparkles Club of First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Priscilla A. Fulkerson and her husband Larry of New Castle, one daughter-in-law, Hilde Varner, one brother, Domenick Aluisia and his wife Irene of New Castle, two sisters, Dorothy McCullough of New Castle, and Patti Cusino and her husband Eugene of Anthem, AZ, one brother-in-law, Eugene Kendra, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis F. Giannone, two brothers, Anthony and Patsy Aluisia, one sister, Mary Kendra and one brother-in-law, James McCullough.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home. Rev. John Yergan of First Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Garden.
