Norma J. Cumo

Norma J. Cumo, 82, of Dushane St., died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born July 19, 1930 in New Castle, the daughter of the late Sam and Barbara (Vacca) Colia. Mrs. Cumo worked for many years as a telecommunications operator at the Dunes Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. She then retired from Attorney Wiliam Cohen's Office. Mrs. Cumo enjoyed bingo, casinos, cooking and gardening. She also loved spending time with her family and cooking Italian Sunday dinner and the '7 fishes' Christmas Eve dinner.
She is survived by her former husband Joseph Cumo, of Pueblo, CO, one son, Joseph A. Cumo of New Castle, one daughter, Barbara Cuomo of Las Vegas, NV, one daughter-in-law, Linda Cumo Newell of New Castle, one aunt, Rosemarie Izzo of New Castle, three grandchildren, David Cumo and wife Heather, Mark Cumo, and Christopher Vogan, and two great grandchildren, David J. Cumo, Jr. and Anthony C. Cumo.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 4 PM to 6 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Hillsville.
