Joseph C. Pagley

Joseph C. Pagley, 86, of Riverside Apartments, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born March 21, 1926 in New Castle, a son of the late Louis and Clara (King) Pagley. He was married to the late Dorothy (Hiler) Pagley who died January 24, 1989. He then married the late Doris (Null) Pagley who died January 30, 2001. Mr. Pagley was a custodian for New Castle Area School District retiring after 18 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Eagles, Croation Club and the American Legion. Mr. Pagley enjoyed fishing and was the former owner of Beck's Flower Shop in New Castle.

He is survived by six children, Toni Pagley and her boyfriend Joseph Donatelli of West Middlesex, JoEllen Piccirillo of Boardman, OH, Kim Pagley and her boyfriend Jeff Schuffert of New Castle, Charlene Pelto and her husband David of Sterling, VA, Joseph Pagley, Jr. of New Castle, and John Pagley and his wife Marie of New Castle, one brother, Louis Pagley of New Castle, one sister, JoAnn Quinn of New Castle, twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Todd, Mary Biedka, Dorothy Didiano, and Angeline Pagley, and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Nick Vaskov of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 PM. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum.
