Anthony F. Lombardo, 83, of E. Hazelcroft Ave., New Castle, died Wednesday morning, September 21, 2005 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born April 13, 1922 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Domenick and Theresa (Fulena) Lombardo, they precede him in death. He married Josephine A. (Tuminella) Lombardo on October 19, 1946, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Lombardo was a truck driver and foreman at Associated Box in New Castle for 23 years. He was owner and operator of Lombardo Auto Service for 20 years in New Castle. He also worked at Systems Management for 5 years as a manager and troubleshooter. Mr. Lombardo was an Army veteran of World War II serving in Europe with Co. C 135th Armored Ordinance Maintenance Battalion. For his service he received two bronze stars and various other medals and honors. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed gardening and fixing cars.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Anthony C. Lombardo of Cincinnati, OH, and James D. Lombardo of Bessemer, PA, 1 sister, Elaine Schulz of New Castle, PA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers Charles Lombardo, Frank Lombardo and Joseph Lombardo.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday from 2-6 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Camillus Church. Father Phil Farrell of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the cemetery.
