Anne Helen Benegasi

Anne Helen Benegasi, 84, E. Clayton St., New Castle, died Monday evening, March 3, 2008 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born July 29, 1923 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Bartholomew and Catherine (Mingione) Effinite. She was married to John A. Benegasi who died on April 24, 1994. Mrs. Benegasi was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Glenn Benegasi and Michael Benegasi both of New Castle, PA, one brother, Thomas Effinite of New Castle, PA, three sisters, Jennie Trepicone, Viola Janovick, and Rose Petrovitch all of New Castle, PA, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Patsy Effinite, three sisters, Mary Fontana, Philomena Fontana, and Rose Effinite and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 5pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Kenneth Keene of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
