William E. Book, Sr.

William E. Book, Sr., 68, of 1117 W. Washington St., New Castle, died Sunday morning, October 2, 2005 at his home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born December 15, 1936 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Leonard Book and Maudanna (Thorn) Mock, they precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Virginia (Fusco) Book. He married Nettie C. (Bigley) Book on March 22, 1954, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Book was owner/operator of the N & B Trucking Co. for 36 years in New Castle. He served in the Army Reserves.

In addition to his wife he is survived by, 3 daughters, Mrs. Guy (Diana) Harding, Mrs. Larry (Fern) Herman, and Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) Swogger all of New Castle, PA, one son, William E. ‘Bill’ Book, Jr. and his wife Yvonne ‘Sissy’ Book of New Castle, PA, one brother, Ronald Book of Pittsburgh, PA, 2 sisters, Phyllis Book of Bethesda, MD, and Lenora Zahedi of Rockville, MD, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Book and one grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Gene Hydrick will be officiating.
