Virginia A. Marso

Virginia A. Marso, 93, formerly of West Cherry Street, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hampton Woods Nursing Center in Poland, Ohio. She was born January 23, 1920 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Marsilio) LaMarca. She was married to the late Michael V. Marso who died October 9, 1989. Mrs. Marso was a self-employed Beautician for many years. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, the Ladies Guild and Holy Rosary Society of St. Lucy Church and enjoyed cooking. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two children, Bernadette Marso of Auburn, MA, and Michael Marso and his wife Patti of Harrisburg, PA, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosemary Hamed, two brothers, Vincent and Augustus LaMarca, and five sisters, Rose Leone, Clementine Conti, Lydia LaMarca, Helen Carlisi, and Jean DeFiore.



Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
