David Francis Quinn, Sr.

David Francis Quinn, Sr., 66, of Hickory View Dr., New Castle, died Thursday morning, March 6, 2008 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He was born August 19, 1941 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of the late Paul and Emillia (Haza) Quinn. He married Beverly A. (Blackford) Quinn on October 12, 1968, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Quinn worked in the forge, was a furnace tender and inspector at Rockwell Axel in New Castle for over 20 years. He was a Navy veteran and an EMT at Rockwell and for Bessemer Rescue. Mr. Quinn was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, was a leader of the Royal Rangers at the Church and had a Prison Ministry for many years. Mr. Quinn and his wife were also professional clowns. In addition to his wife, he is survived by, three sons, David F. Quinn, Jr. and his wife Jane of Bessemer, PA, Michael T. Quinn and his wife Rae Ann of New Castle, PA, and Chad J. Quinn and his wife Denise of New Castle, PA, two sisters, Mary Craft of Memphis, TN, and Emillia Cline of Groton, CT and eight grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, two brothers, William Quinn and Paul Quinn and two infant sisters.Visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, Pulaski RD, on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church. Pastor Kenneth Meyer of First Assembly of God will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: First Assembly of God Church, Children’ Ministries, 2021 Pulaski RD, New Castle, PA  16105.
