Catherine M. Tutino

Catherine M. Nestasie Tutino, 83, of 4280 W. State St., Edinburg, died Wednesday morning, October 5, 2005 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born January 6, 1922 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of Domenico and Maria Teresa (Luccisano) Nestasie, they precede her in death. Mrs. Tutino married Rocco J. Tutino on May 19, 1945, he died May 6, 1999. Mrs. Tutino was a member of the St. Lawrence Church of Christ the King Parish and Christian Mothers. She was one of the original Rosie the Riveters working for General Fire Proofing during the War. Mrs. Tutino was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. She was very active and involved in the community.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Karlovic of Warren, OH, Mrs. Dominic (Vincie) Greco of Edinburg, PA, and Mrs. Dominick (Jaconda) Sciola of Struthers, OH, 1 son & daughter-in-law, James Tutino and his wife Kim of Louisville, OH, 1 brother, James Nestasie of Edinburg, PA, 1 sister, Ann Casamento of Warren, OH, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Nestasie, 2 sisters, Mary Barbero, and Rose Palmer and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 7, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Lawrence Church. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 am. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Hillsville.
