Virginia C. Farone

Virginia C. Farone, 95, formerly of Mable Street, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born April 7, 1917 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Constantino and Mary (Turano) Cozza. She was married to the late Emery D. Farone who died May 28, 1992. Mrs. Farone was a homemaker and enjoyed tennis, cooking and baking. She also loved to laugh with family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Emily Presnar of New Castle, and Donna DeAngelo of New Castle, three grandchildren, Charles Venturella, Cathy Venturella Pullia and John Braho, and three great grandchildren, Alexis Stoner, Tyler and Jonalyn Braho.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Angelo and Joseph Cozza, and three sisters, Evelyn Cozza, Frances Iafrat, and Angeline Cozza.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 10 AM to 12 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
