Jon P. Librandi

Jon P. Librandi, 36, of 1023 Winslow Ave., New Castle, died Saturday morning, October 8, 2005 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born May 13, 1969 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of George and Patricia (Boratko) Librandi, Sr., his father precedes him in death, his mother survives in New Castle. Mr. Librandi was a self-employed property redeveloper in New Castle for many years. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with 3 majors in Political Science, Philosophy and Economics and a member of the University Alumni Association. Mr. Librandi was a member of the Wolves Club Den #1 and was a former office holder in the club. He was an active member of the YMCA and a number of social clubs. He enjoyed playing racquetball and motorcycle riding.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister, Debra Librandi of New Castle, PA and one brother, sister-in-law and nephew, Dr. George P. Librandi, Jr., his wife Debbie Librandi and their son George Patrick Librandi, III all of Valpraiso, IN.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
