P. Louise Valentino

P. Louise Valentino, 94, of Hendersonville, TN, formerly of New Castle, PA, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Hearth of Hendersonville in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born October 8, 1918 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rosa (Scarazzo) Toscano. She was married to the late Harry E. Valentino who died December 12, 2008. Mrs. Valentino was co-owner of C&H Grocery in New Castle for 35 years. She was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, the Ladies of the Dukes, and the Ladies Guild of Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed bowling, line dancing, and spending family time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She set the example of love, compassion, and dedication to family for all to follow.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph P. Valentino of Greenville, PA, and Harry N. Valentino of Gallatin, TN, one brother, Chester Toscano of Venice, FL, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jeanne Rose Valentino, one brother, Harry ‘Kaiser’ Toscano, and one sister, Constance Emerson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Camillus Church. Father Thomas J. Lewandowski of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens in New Castle. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 Third Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10017 or the Shenango Valley Children’s Transplant Fund, First National Bank of PA, c/o Vickie Verroco, 3320 East State St., Hermitage, PA 16148.
