Susan West

Susan West, 90, of Dewey Avenue, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born August 19, 1922 in Ellport, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Dolum) Mal-Chalk. She was married to the late Bert West. Mrs. West was a janitor at Hartmen School in the Ellwood City School District retiring after 30 years.
She is survived by a nephew Brinley Vaughn and his wife Darlene of New Castle, with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Mal-Chalk, Jr., and five sisters, Ann Vaughn, Mary Demsey, Marge Fotia, Alice Swartze, and Helen Shelldon.
Private services will be held. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
