Rev. Ross Blue

Rev. Ross Blue, 79, of West North Street, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at his home in New Castle. He was born November 17, 1933 in Graceville, Florida a son of the late Otis Rynes and the late Mary (Blue) Young. He was married to the late Evelyn V. (Burley) Blue who died March 10, 2011. Rev. Blue was a supply and inventory supervisor for the Hibbert Group in Trenton, NJ retiring after 15 years. He was an Army and Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Rev. Blue enjoyed preaching, teaching the Word of God, and taking care of his family, children and grandchildren, which he loved and it gave him his greatest joy.

He is survived by eight children, Barbara Wiley of New Castle, Vicky Liverman and her husband Donald of Columbia, NC, Joelle Jones and her husband Bennie of Warren, OH, John Blue of Ft. Worth, TX, Sharon Blue of Trenton, NJ, Dawn Blue Campbell and her husband Lee of New Castle, Jeffrey Blue and his wife Stephanie of Trenton, NJ, and Nancy Robertson and her husband Rodney of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two brothers, Oliver Blue of Jacksonville, FL, and Alto Young of New Castle, seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother-in-law, James Burley of New Castle, one sister-in-law, Gertrude Herns of New Castle and his caregiver, Niraiya Brockington of New Castle.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Otis Rynes, Jr.



Visitation will be held at the New Jerusalem COGIC, 1701 Moravia Street, New Castle, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM.



Homegoing services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the New Jerusalem COGIC. Rev. Keith Burley of Ebenezer COGIC will be officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
