Anna Startari

Anna Startari, 92, of Overlook Dr., Hillsville, PA, died Wednesday evening, April 9, 2008 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born June 19, 1915 in Hillsville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Varcalli) Startari. Miss Startari was a member of the Christ the King Parish and the St. Lucy Club in Hillsville. She was very active in the church and at the club and she cooked at the club. She also enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting
She is survived by, four sisters, Clara Gentile of Houston, TX, Jane Slike of Struthers, OH, Helen Sackin and Margaret Kelty both of Hillsville, PA and a number of Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, five sisters, Josephine Relo, Theresa Nicolls, Rose Petrello, Virginia Yeropoli and an Infant Sister.
Visitation will be held at St. Lawrence Church on Saturday, April 14, 2008 from 10am to 12 noon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Lawrence Church. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
