Josephine Cubellis

Josephine Cubellis, 89, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Sumner Ave., New Castle, died Thursday evening, April 10, 2008 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born November 11, 1918 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Retort) Audino. She was married to Victor P. Cubellis, Sr., who died on February 1, 2002. Mrs. Cubellis was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of the St. Vitus Church and formerly worked at Shenango China. She also enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
She is survived by, two sons, Victor P. Cubellis, Jr. and Joseph C. Cubellis, both of New Castle, PA, one sister, Nellie Arena of Hillsville, PA, four grandchildren and one great grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, four brothers, Domenick Audino, Charles Audino, Fred Audino, and Frank Audino, and one sister, Rose Morella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 14, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Robert Zajdel of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
