Red or Tony, as he was known by friends, enjoyed gardening. He took great pride in growing roses and vegetables. He continued to make homemade wine throughout his life. He loved to cook Italian food for his family, passing his secret recipes along to his grandchildren. He played bocce and Italian card games, but he loved playing the lottery the most, for which he developed his own unique system for choosing the numbers.
