Alda M. Degidio

Alda M. DeGidio, 79, of E. Edison Ave., New Castle, died Saturday morning, April 19, 2008 at her home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born May 25, 1928 in Erie, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Sbarro) Ticcone. She married Norman A. DeGidio, Sr. on December 1, 1951, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. DeGidio was a homemaker and a member of the Mary Mother of Hope Parish. She was very active for many years in the Republican Party and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by, two sons, Alexander J. DeGidio of Poland, OH, and Norman A. DeGidio, Jr. of New Castle, PA and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Marcutoli and Delia Cunningham.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle, on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Blessing services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in New Castle.
