Gary T. Filippone

Gary T. Filippone, 64, of 6th Street, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hosptial. He was born July 8, 1949 in Ellwood City, a son of the late Arthur and Helen (Miller) Filippone. He was married to Denise (Lombardo) Filippone for 40 years, she survives in New Castle. He was owner and operator of Little Johnnie's II on Highland Avenue for 14 years. Mr. Filippone enjoyed golfing, playing cards with his friends and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by, one daughter, Kim Snyder of Hopewell, PA, one son, Gary C. Filippone and his wife Heather of New Castle, and five grandchildren, Christopher and Sara Snyder, Madisyn Haney, Domenick and Christopher Filippone.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Filippone.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Nick Vaskov of St. Vincent de Paul Church will officiate. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
