George S. ‘Sid’ Moore, 86, of Gardner Stop Road, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born November 29, 1926 in New Castle, the son of the late Phillip and Minnie (Ziegler) Moore. He was married to Lottie M. (Allshouse) Moore on February 15, 1951, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Moore worked in maintenance at Tanner Plating retiring after 30 years. He then worked for the Cray Organization in maintenance for 20 years. Mr. Moore also enjoyed carpentry and was a member of the Shenango Christian Church, were he was very active. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, bird watching, walking outdoors and was a great pie baker. Mr. Moore loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by five children, Gail A. Sidletsky and her husband Tom of Sheridan, WY, Janet L. Higgins and her husband Richard of New Castle, and triplets, James S., Julie E., and Jeffrey D. Moore, all of New Castle, three sisters, his twin, Sylvia Shoaff of New Castle, Peggy Fedor of New Castle, and Janet Maple of Zainsville, OH, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcie Moore, and two sisters, Gladys Gibson and Gertrude Park.



Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM.



Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. James Equels of Shenango Christian Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
