Alice V. Jackson

Alice V. Jackson, 73, of North Crawford Avenue, died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her home in New Castle. She was born December 17, 1939 in Edinburg, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Hoon) Troutman. She was married to the late Albert Jackson, Sr. who died in 1974. Mrs. Jackson was a nurse’s aide at a number of area nursing homes and a waitress at a number of area restaurants. She enjoyed gardening, coin collecting and crocheting and loved spending time with family and grandkids.

She is survived by two children, Albert Jackson, Jr. and his wife Linda, and Janet James and her husband Walter, both of New Castle, three brothers, Henry Troutman of Corsica, PA, and William and John Troutman of New Castle, one sister, Debbie Bradley of New Castle, five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death one son, Duwayne Jackson, one daughter, Denise Bradley, one brother, David Troutman, two sisters, Patty Stalma and Linda Yeaney, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Darren Abraham of Gardner Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. On-line condolences can be sent to: www.williamrogerdecarbo.com.
