Dennis R. Rees

Dennis R. Rees, 56, of Edison Manor, formerly of Eastbrook RD, died Tuesday morning, April 29, 2008 at Edison Manor Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born December 2, 1951 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of the late Charles Rees, Sr. and Barbara (Hilyard) Rees, she survives in New Wilmington. Mr. Rees worked for Tanner Plating, Inc. for 19 years as a Hard Chrome Plater. He was a member of the First Alliance Church and enjoyed reading his Bible. He also enjoyed collecting coins, researching genealogy, bass fishing, music and watching classic movies. Mr. Rees especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by, two daughters, Dawna Vanderpool and her husband Nathan of DuBois, PA, and Nicole Carmichael and her husband Kevin of New Castle, PA, three brothers, Charles, Thomas, and Gordon Rees all of New Castle, PA, two sisters, LouAnn Woerner of Santiago, Chile, and Marcy Carroll of Mechanicsville, VA, two grandchildren, Ava Grace and Sean Steven Carmichael, and his former wife, Carol Hemphill Hamed of New Castle, PA.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Carroll, Brother-in-Law of the deceased will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
