Jean T. Colbert

Jean T. Colbert, 83, of New Butler RD, New Castle, went to be with the Lord at 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born July 8, 1924 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Howard and Nettie (Brandt) Turner. She was a graduate of the Shenango High School. She married Robert L. Colbert on September 30, 1950 at the Center UP Church in New Castle. They celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary last year. Mrs. Colbert was employed at Penn Power and was a member of Faith Country Chapel for 44 years. She served as Secretary for many years in the Wills on Bible Class and enjoyed church duties before coming ill. She also enjoyed homemaking and gardening.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, one son, Robert D. Colbert and daughter-in-law, Patti and two grandchildren, and one daughter, Stacy L. Brown and son-in-law, David, both of New Castle, PA, and two brothers, Robert and Howard Turner, both of New Castle, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Betty L. Kaufman.
