Marjorie E. Paswell, 80, of Wayne Ave., Ellwood City, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Lowellville, Ohio. She was born March 20, 1928 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Merideth and Dorthea (McCewen) Dougal. Mrs. Paswell was a Licensed Practical Nurse retiring after 22 years at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She taught Sunday School at St. Agatha Church and delivered Meals on Wheels in Ellwood City for many years. She also ran the nursery at Christ Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Jaime Paswell of Edinburg, PA, and Arthur Paswell of Fall River, MA, six daughters, Emily DeNome, Lynn Jones, Lisa Kulinski, and Viola Seaburn all of Ellwood City, PA, Sara Fernandez of Lowellville, OH, and Minnie Courtney of Wampum, PA, one brother, David Dougal of Aurora, CO, her former husband, Ross Paswell of New Castle, PA, seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Roy Smith.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Sylvia Beard of Southern Care Hospice, Austintown will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
