Angeline 'Julia' Laita

Angeline ‘Julia’ Laita, 105, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Lawrence Manor, died Wednesday morning, May 7, 2008 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born August 28, 1902 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Arsenio and Philomenia (Cupiana) Ippolito. She was married to Angelo Laita who diedon June 21, 1968. Mrs. Laita was a homemaker and a member of the St. Vitus Church. She was also a member of the Jameson Hospital Ladies Guild and the Sons of Italy and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by one daughter, Thelma Prandini of Washington, PA, one brother, Louis Frank of New Castle, PA, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rose Cugini, three brothers, Andy Frank, Tony Frank, and Joe Frank, five sisters, Nellie Jetto, Antonia Carbone, Mary Taylor, Rose Bloise, and Elizabeth Marmo.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 12:00 noon at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
