William M. Glitch, 60, of Norfolk, VA, formerly of New Castle, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at his home in Norfolk, Virginia. He was born January 21, 1953 in New Castle, a son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Peters) Glitch. He married Virgina (Dludala) Glitch in 2000, she survives in Norfolk. Mr. Glitch was a machinist for MHI in Norfolk for 15 years. He was a Navy veteran. Mr. Glitch was also an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by one son, William Glitch, Jr. of Newport News, VA, four step-children, Rufus Overton and his wife Charlene of Norfolk, VA, Michael Kelly and his wife Jay of Driver, VA, Brent Kelly and his wife Celisa of Florida, and Amanda Bohn and her husband Justin of Portsmith, VA, one brother, Mark Glitch of New Castle, four sisters, Cheryl Reid of New Castle, Marcia Innocent of New Castle, Mary Jo Leitera and her husband Tom of New Castle, and Germaine Smith and her husband Chris of Sharon, PA, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Glitch, his sister Barbara Tervo, and his niece, Lisa Reid.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Blessing services will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Nick Vaskov of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery.
