George Raymond Mottle, 97, of Hillsville RD, Edinburg, PA, died Sunday morning, May 18, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born December 29, 1910 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of the late Antonio and Barbara (Prona) Mottola. He was married to Ruth Helen (Will) Mottle who died on September 11, 1983. Mr. Mottle was a Master Carpenter for the B & O Railroad retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees and enjoyed gardening and playing the PA Lottery Daily Numbers and Lotto.

He is survived by four daughters, Helen Anne Zokle and her husband Donald of Edinburg, PA, Donna Seinkner and her husband Joseph of Canfield, OH, Barbara Gennock and her husband John of North Jackson, OH, and Martha Passeritti of Indiana, one son, George A. Mottle and his wife Debbie of Boardman, OH, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Angelo, Philip, and Raymond Mottle, and three sisters, Lillian Mottle, Jenny Costa, and Rose Melillo.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Vitus Church. Father Robert Zajdel of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
