Deanna J. Micaletti Vano

Deanna J. Micaletti Vano, 65, of East Hillcrest Avenue, died Monday, October 14, 2013 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born April 3, 1948 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Biondi) Micaletti. Ms. Vano was the manager of Catholic Cemeteries of Lawrence County retiring after 30 years. She graduated with a Bachelors' Degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock State University. Deanna was a volunteer for Adult Literacy and at the Women’s Shelter, and enjoyed sports, crafts and animals. She also taught 5th Grade CCD at St. Vitus Church and was a wonderful teacher. She was an avid fan of New Castle High School Sports, especially women’s basketball and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by two sisters, Margie Ridgley and her husband Chuck, and Clarice Walker and her husband James, all of New Castle, one brother, Raymond Micaletti and his wife Audrey of New Castle, six nieces and nephews, Ryenn Micaletti, Ryamond Micaletti and wife Amanda, Aryn Micaletti, Eric Ridgley and wife Jen, Alyssa Bucci and husband Todd, and Marc Ridgley, and two great nieces.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4 PM to 7 PM.



Blessing services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Nick Vaskov of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
