George C. Moore

George C. Moore, 59, of 131 Woodside Dr., Grove City, PA, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday morning, November 20, 2005 at his home in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He was born November 4, 1946 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania the son of John and Sarah (Keller) Moore, they precede him in death. He was married to Erla Smiley Moore who died on June 26, 2003. Mr. Moore worked for US Steel in Ellwood City for 12 years, then at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Moore enjoyed hunting and fishing and collecting coins and other antiques. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, David G. Moore of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Pamela J. Palmer of New Castle, PA, 5 brothers, James Moore of New Castle, PA, Roy Moore of Leesburg, PA, Frank Moore of New Castle, PA, Kenneth Moore of New Castle, PA, and Thomas Moore of Odessa, TX and 4 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by, his brother John Moore, and his sister Alberta Davis.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Saturday from 10am-12pm.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Larry Llewellyn of Hoover Heights CMA Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery in New Castle. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military funeral rites at the funeral home.
