Dorothy A. Bohizic

Dorothy A. McLaren Bohizic, 65, of South Cascade Street, New Castle, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born August 13, 1948 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Sylvia Mae (Bookmer) McLaren. She was married to George Bohizic, Jr. on March 21, 1972, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Bohizic was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed playing cards, sewing, dancing and back to the '50's. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Dorothy M. Bunnell and her companion William Robinson of New Castle, one brother, John McLaren of New Castle, four sisters, Peggy McCormick, Helen Thompson, Doris McCune, and Betty Guyer, all of New Castle, one brother-in-law, Joseph Bohizic of New Castle, three sisters-in-law, Georgina Robertson of Zainsville, OH, Karen Bohizic of New Castle, and Sharon McLaren of New Castle, two grandchildren, David G.M. Bunnell and Sara N. Robinson and one great grandson, Tyren Weber.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Bunnell, three brothers, Jim, David, and Matt McLaren, one sister, Irene Guyer, and four sisters-in-law, Barbara Schell, Bernice Gramsky, Arlene Dawson, and Velma Crowe.



Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Methodist Cemetery in Shenango Township.
