Kathy L. Bunnell

Kathy L. Bunnell, 62, of Altman Road, Union Twp., died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born September 10, 1951 in New Castle, a daughter of the late William Rice and the late Dorothy (Cornelius) Kennedy. Ms. Bunnell was a certified nurses’ aid at Golden Hill Nursing Home, Haven Nursing Home and Northside Hospital for many years. She enjoyed making crafts and crocheting, especially blankets.
She is survived by two sons, Frederick Sager of Katy, TX, and Christopher Sager of New Castle, two brothers, John and William Rice, both of New Castle, two sisters, Karen Hoover of Wyethville, VA, and Becky Corcoran of Punta Gorda, FL, and three granddaughters, Elizabeth Sager, Astryl Sager, and Brenna Sager.
Visitation will be held at the Victory Christian Center, 1421 Sampson Street, New Castle, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at Victory Christian Center. Rev. Alonzo L. Waters of Victory Christian Center will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Victory Christian Center, 1421 Sampson Street, New Castle, PA 16101 in Kathy’s name. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
