William Hart Mayberry, Sr., 71, of State Route 956, Scott Twp., died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Farrell, Pennsylvania. He was born February 11, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a son of the late Raymond and Anna Mary (Ularich) Mayberry. He was married to Eileen V. (Kaufman) Mayberry on October 14, 1961, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Mayberry was a self-employed dairy, hog, and crop farmer for over 50 years. He owned and operated Mayberry's Green Meadows, Mayberry's Sand and Gravel, MSC Hardwoods and repaired farmer equipment. Mr. Mayberry also enjoyed hunting, fishing and talking on the CB radio.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, William H. Mayberry, Jr. of New Castle, Katherine A. Cowher and husband Earl of New Castle, James R. Mayberry of New Castle, and Joseph R. Mayberry and wife Shelly of New Castle, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ellen Mayberry, his brother Raymond Mayberry, and two sisters, Martha Redfoot, and Marianne 'Dolly' Crea.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home,926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
Blessing services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father William Siple of Mary Mother of Hope Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
