Helen E. Evans, 86, of Upper Boyd School RD, Shenango Twp., formerly of Pin Oak Dr., New Castle, died Friday morning, July 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born February 18, 1922 in Prospect, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Park and Estella (Adams) Alcorn. She was married to Clarence ‘Dick’ Evans, who died March 1968. Mrs. Evans was an escort for the PA Association for the Blind for 6 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her dog Ginger.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandy Bober and her husband Albert of Wampum, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard L. Evans and one brother.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dick Allen of Chewton Christian Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
