Mary Ann Chill, 87, of Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Marshall Avenue, New Castle, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born December 7, 1926 in Hubbard, Ohio a daughter of the late Benjamin and Josephine (DiTommaso) Perrotta. She married Joseph E. Chill on July 26, 1947, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Chill was a sales clerk at Betty Gay Clothing Store for several years. She was a member of the St. Vitus Church and enjoyed bingo and loved visiting her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Theresa J. Davis and her husband Winston of McKinney, TX, and Norman J. Chill and his wife Monica of Cross Lanes, WV, one sister, Nancie L. DeRosa of New Castle, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph 'Duke', Benjamin, Steven ‘Sonny’, and James ‘Jimmy Jazz’ Perrotta, and two sisters, Annie Russo and Antoinette Edwards.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Bill Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
