Elsie Mae Speer

Elsie Mae Speer, 83, of Lower Idlewild Dr., Union Twp., died Friday afternoon, July 25, 2008 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born July 9, 1925 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Sadler) Decker. She was married to George T. Speer who died on July 9, 1980. Mrs. Speer was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Jack Lewis, George Speer, and Thomas Speer, all of Thorntown, IN, four daughters, Linda Allen and Georgene Pounds of New Castle, PA, Wilma Speer of Hagerstown, MD, and Maxine Martin of North Lima, OH, fifteen grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Siddall, two brothers, William Sadler and Jim Sadler, and two sisters, Margaret Sadler and Betty Decker.
A Private funeral service will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
