Thomas C. Shaffer, Jr., 58, of South Ray Street, New Castle, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Overlook Nursing Home in New Wilmington. He was born January 19, 1956 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania a son of Thomas C. and Lottie Mae (Logan) Shaffer, his father precedes him in death and his mother survives in Villa Rich, GA. He was married to Donna A. (Pauletich) Shaffer on September 21, 20001, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Shaffer enjoyed working on computers, surfing the internet and was an avid computer gamer.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Thomas C. Shaffer, III of Melford, OH, and Anthony Shaffer of Melford, OH, two brothers, Ernest Townsend of Georgia and William G. Shaffer of Hiram, GA, one sister, Robin Shaffer-Gaines of Powderspring, GA, and eight grandchildren.
