Leslie A. Taylor

Leslie A. Taylor, 58, of Nesbitt Road, New Castle, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born March 23, 1956 in New Castle, a daughter of Robert Sowash and Mildred ‘Midge’ (Johns) Sorivelli. Her father precedes her in death, her mother survives in New Castle. She was married to Roy C. Taylor on August 10, 1974, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Taylor was owner and operator of R.C. Taylor Construction and Ace Auto Wrecking with her husband. Prior to that she worked at Double R in New Castle. She enjoyed surfing the internet and Facebook, arguing politics and gardening. Mrs. Taylor loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Alicia D. Taylor and her husband Jerry of New Castle, and Ashley M. Brandt and her husband Jerry of Bessemer, one sister, Gretchen Sowash of Lynchburg, VA, and six grandchildren, Gerald J. Taylor, II, Ethan C. Taylor, Dylan A. Taylor, Jordan R. Taylor, Gerald M. Brandt, IV, and Nataleigh E. Brandt.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister Elaine Sowash and her step-father John Sorivelli.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating.
