Theresa Armando

Theresa Armando, 96, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, died Friday evening, December 16, 2005 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born March 21, 1909 in Utica, New York the daughter of Biagio and Angeline (Pica) Vericella, they precede her in death. She was married to Gabriel Armando for 65 years, he died April 8, 1996. Mrs. Armando worked as a seamstress for the National Pants Factory for 7 years. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, Christian Mothers of St. Vitus Church and the St. Marguerite's Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna Vercilla of New Castle, PA, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Patsy Armando, and her brother Lewis Vericella.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday from 6-9 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
