Antoinette Rao

Antoinette Rao, 75, of Overlook Nursing Home, New Wilmington, formerly of Electric St., New Castle, died Friday afternoon, August 22, 2008 at Overlook Nursing Home. She was born March 5, 1933 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Anthony and Agatha (Coelleta) DeJoseph. She was married to Antonio Rao who died on January 30, 2002. Mrs. Rao was a member of the St. Vitus Church and the Moose Club. She worked at various restaurants in New Castle.

She is survived by one son, Pete Perillo of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Mrs. David (Anna Marie) Sankey of West Pittsburg, PA, one brother, Arthur DeJoseph of New Castle, PA, and two grandsons, Anthony and David J. Sankey.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Alfred, and John DeJoseph, and three sisters, Mary Giannetti, Anna Pezzuti, and Jean Procopio.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 12:00 noon at St. Vitus Church. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
