Mary Mae Kelly

Mary Mae Kelly, 100, a 34 year resident of Sky View Towers, died Wednesday morning, August 27, 2008 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born November 24, 1907 in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Clinton and Elizabeth (Christy) Turner. She was married to Phillip Kelly who died on March 21, 1973. Mrs. Kelly retired as a decorator at Shenango China after many years. She was a member of St. Elias Orthodox Church and the Ladies Society of the Church.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Kathy Davis and her husband Chris of New Castle, PA, and Jeffery Kelly of San Diego, CA, two great grandsons, Christopher Davis and his wife Alison and Samuel Davis, and two great great grandsons, Christopher Glen Davis and Conlan Samuel Robert Davis.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Kelly, one brother, Charles Turner, and five sisters, Sadie Turner, Florence Anderson, Grace McCormick, Rose DeCaprio, and Dorothy Day.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Trisagion Prayer Service will be held Friday at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Elias Orthodox Church. The Very Reverend Christopher Davis, Grandson of Mrs. Kelly, will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
