Helen Cugini

Helen Cugini, 71, of Line Avenue, Ellwood City, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at Ellwood City Hospital in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. She was born May 13, 1943 in Salem, Ohio a daughter of the late Michael and Zorka (Dbjeviak) Pavkovich. She was married to the late Paul ‘Bear’ Cugini who died January 11, 1998. Mrs. Cugini was a clerk at Rite Aid in Ellwood City for 5 years. She was a nurse’s aid at St. Francis Hospital and Golden Hill Nursing Home for a number of years. She enjoyed going to casinos and playing bingo.
She is survived by two sons, Paul A. Cugini of Ellwood City, PA and Robert W. ‘Boo’ Cugini and his wife JoAnn of Las Vegas, NV, one brother, Michael Pavkovich of Ellwood City, PA, three sisters, Dawn Kwiat of New Castle, Sylvia Mozzoccio of Wampum, PA, and Darlene Moses of New Castle, and one granddaughter, Nicole M. Cugini.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother George Pavkovich.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Blessing services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Seminarian Anthony Sciarappa of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
