Mary C. Lombardo

Mary C. Lombardo, 93, of South Lafayette Street, New Castle, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, Ohio. She was born April 5, 1921 in Meadville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Tommaso and Enrichetta (Cubellis) Rotunno. She was married to the late Ralph Lombardo, Sr. who died August 16, 1995. Mrs. Lombardo was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She also was a member of the St. Lucy Holy Rosary Society, the 37 Club and St. Margaret's Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory Lombardo and his wife Terri of Boardman, OH, and Jeffrey Lombardo, Sr. of New Castle, three grandchildren, Staci Lombardo, Jeffrey Lombardo, Jr. and Natalie Lombardo.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son Ralph Lombardo, Jr., one brother, James Matteo, and four sisters, Rose Matteo, Ann Mangino, Florence Perrino and Nora Naples.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Nick Vaskov of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
